JULIAN BROWN

Born and educated in England, art historian Julian Brown made his home in Paris in 1987. He has travelled extensively in Asia and has a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. 

SOPHIE CAMPBELL

Sophie Campbell is a travel writer and London Blue Badge tour guide based in London for the past 25 years. Her book, The Season, details her summer whirl through the English social season – think big hats, camping in queues and royal regattas.

Dana Conley

Your Host! The co-founder founder of C&S, Dana fell in love with travel during college while studying art and politics abroad at Stanford University in Italy.  She has traveled to over 50 countries in search of life-changing moments to share with her clients. 

 

Elaine Ruffolo

Elaine Ruffolo has been teaching art history in Florence, Italy since 1990 and is a popular instructor for students and adults alike. Her special interests include the history of patronage and the economy of Italian Renaissance city-states.

Ross King

Ross is the best-selling author of six books on Italian Renaissance art and history, including Brunelleschi’s Dome, Michelangelo and the Pope’s Ceiling, and Leonardo and The Last Supper. In tandem with his writing, Ross is an active fundraiser for the arts and a passionate on-site lecturer.

Adam Tooze

Adam Tooze holds the Shelby Cullom Davis chair of History at Columbia University and serves as Director of the European Institute. In 2019, Foreign Policy magazine named him one of the top Global Thinkers of the decade.
